At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the eight-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event. | |

Girls on the Run is dedicated to creating world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential, and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
Girls on the Run SWFL inspires girls in grades 3-8 to be healthy, joyful, and confident through running! During an 8 week season, girls learn lessons on how make healthy choices, how to ask for and give help, how to embrace others uniqueness and so much more. The season concludes with a girl led community impact project, and a celebratory 5k!
Most girls in the program have never run before, and the thought of 3.1 miles is scary! Girls practice making and setting realistic goals, and learn to run at their own healthy pace. EVERYONE celebrates as they cross the 5k finish line!
Since 2013 we have served over 6,500 girls throughout SWFL. We are excited to continue to expand our reach to help more girls embrace their differences, stand up for themselves and others, and nurture their physical, emotional and spiritual health.
