More than sixty percent of the medically fragile seniors cared for by Pines of Sarasota are dependent on Medicaid. But Medicaid does not cover the entire cost of their care. Support for Pines of Sarasota Foundation's Mission Fund makes up the difference so that these vulnerable members of our community can have all their needs met in a warm, caring, and state-of-the-art environment. | |

West Wing Roof | $347,566 | The 15-year old roof of the west wing of Pines of Sarasota's Skilled Nursing Facility is in need of replacement due to age. Each year, the west wing serves over 500 skilled nursing residents as well as patients receiving in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation. The west wing has approximately 37,000 square feet of shingle roofing. The scope of work includes removal of all elements of the existing roof including shingles, underlayment and fasteners, and replacement with new materials that meet current hurricane codes. |
Technology | $10,000 | Pines of Sarasota Foundation is in need of updated technology to become current with standards for operations, data security, and internal and external communications. Needed improvements include the purchase and implementation of up-to-date IT systems and servers as well as equipment, programs, and training. These changes will increase security, improve our ability to communicate with donors and funders, and help the Foundation raise funds for Pines of Sarasota. In addition, these new systems will be more cost-effective for monthly IT maintenance and support. |
Skilled Nursing Resident Beds | $35,000 | Pines of Sarasota's skilled nursing facility is in need of beds to replace those that have reached the end of their useful life and can no longer be repaired. The new beds are specifically designed for those with medical and mobility issues and offer improved functionality and safety for both residents and caregivers. |
